The proceedings from the conference „Historical Bibliography as an Essential Source for Historiography. Fifth International Conference of the European Historical Bibliographies“ held in Prague on November 7 – 8, 2013, under the auspices of the Department of Historical Bibliography, were published in the british publishing house Cambridge Scholars Publishing.

The Initiative

European Historical Bibliographies is a joint project of subject-specific bibliographies from at present fourteen countries. It shall promote continuous cooperation among the participating institutions and bring together, on a European level, their various national bibliographic resources so that trans-national historical research is facilitated. The common platform is hosted by the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften).
